Terms and Conditions


To confirm your order, a 50% non-refundable deposit of the total amount is required at the time of booking. This will secure your order for the date selected. Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit is received. The remaining balance is to be paid at least 5 days prior to pick up or delivery date, unless otherwise agreed upon.

Cancellations:
Any cancellation made after 5 days prior to the pick up/ delivery date will result in your non-refundable deposit being forfeited. All changes or cancellations must be in writing. If you cancel at least 5 days prior to the pick up date, your deposit will be refunded to you in full. If you need to move your date of the event, this will also need to be in writing. The new date will be subject to availability.

Refunds:
If the customer should need a refund, Kate Batter will need photo evidence as to what has gone wrong and an explanation within 5 business days after the event. Refunds will not be issued to any dessert that has been consumed. If there is a dissatisfaction with the flavour quality of the dessert, the cake must be returned and assessed. Kate Batter will not issue a refund to damage from postage. Kate Batter will always issue a fragile warning on the package to do their best to plan for a safe travel.

It is up to the customer to be as clear as possible about the colour pallet and design they would like to use. Refunds will not be issued to design and colour pallet dissatisfaction.

Damage:
Kate Batter does not take any responsibility if a cake is damaged after it has been collected or after it has been delivered to the event by Kate Batter. Kate Batter does not take responsibility for any item damaged due to postage. Kate Batter will always issue a fragile warning on the package to do their best to plan for a safe travel.

Design:
Due to creative licensing, we do not copy or replicate other artist’s work. We may use inspiration from the design only.

Covid: 

Should there be an event, where a lock down is announced within 2 days of the order pick up/ delivery date, Kate Batter will wear the cost of the edible ingredients and labour costs, if the cake is postponed by the client.  If the order has been completed, Kate Batter will try to come up with a plan so that both parties are not at a complete loss. However, the client may have to pay for the florals if ordered.

If the event is cancelled all together, the customer will only receive a refund if it has been at least 5 days notice. If the cake has already been made, there will be no refund.

Agreement of terms and Conditions:
Payment of your deposit is considered that you are in agreement of all terms and conditions. Terms and Conditions may be subject to change at any time
